About

What is Atzmi?

atz·miHebrewmy essence; my inner selfAdj.essential; of the very essence

Atzmi, meaning “my essence” or “my inner self,” is a space for reflection on the deeper layers of life. Rooted in Torah and Chassidic thought, and lived within halacha, Atzmi explores the meeting point between spirituality, psychology, nature, healing, and the human experience. It is an invitation to look inward, to notice more deeply, and to rediscover the sacred dimension of ordinary life.

The mission

Atzmi exists to help people cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves, with G-d, and with the world around them. Through writing, teachings, and lived experiences, it seeks to bridge ancient wisdom and contemporary life, offering language and perspective for those drawn to meaning, depth, healing, and inner clarity.

Begin with “My Story”

A personal journey through tradition, doubt, travel, and the discovery that experience matters as much as understanding.

Themes

What you’ll find here

Atzmi moves across the inner and outer landscapes of life: Torah, Chassidic thought, healing, philosophy, nature, and the search for meaning. Some pieces are essays. Some are reflections. Some are lived experiences. All are rooted in the same desire: to encounter life more truthfully and more deeply.

Expeditions

Atzmi Expeditions

Atzmi Expeditions are multi-day adventures in the company of Jewish men and Atzmi guides. Each one brings real challenge and the outdoors together with a Jewish atmosphere and honest conversation along the way, so you can meet your own limits and move beyond them.

Every expedition runs according to halacha: the food is kosher, Shabbat is kept, and there is time for davening. Everyone is welcome, whatever their level of observance, and no one is pressured.
